Bomkesh Bakshi

Byomkesh Bakshi is a very renowned detective in Bengali literature created by Saradindu Bandopadhay and has been also one of the most popular characters in Bengali literature. Directed by Anjan Dutt, the story of this movie revolves around Anadi Haldar, a rich old man, his adopted son Prabhat and Nonibala, the woman, who raised Probhat. Set against the backdrop of World War II and the movie is improvised at places to fit into the big screen mode. Based on the book written by Saradindu Bandyopadhyay, the movie is crisply and precisely delivered by Anjan Dutt. As a sleuth, Bomkesh Bakshi is always caught up in solving one case or the other with numerous twists and turns.
